This year the 3rd World Bathtubbing Championships will be included in the World Alternative Games line up of fun Quirky outdoors events that will take place in and around Llanwtryd Wells, Powys, Mid Wales.

The 2012 World Bathtubbing Championships will take place in Cardiff

Llanwrtyd Wells nestled on the southern edge of the Cambrian mountains in Mid Wales. The home of Green-events and world renown for the  fun quirky outdoor activities, such as Man v Horse mountain marathon, Bog snorkelling, Mountain bike chariot racing, to name but a few.

The World Bathtubbing Championships 2012 will follow on from the British open, 9th June, Bristol and Welsh open (date to be announced soon) bathtubbing championships this year. It will feature a full day of  Bathtubbing and other water activities.

The days programme will include,

-100m individual time trial,  Race against the stopwatch around or metre circuit.

-Muilt Bathtub races 4 bathtubs Racing at a time once again around our 100 metre circuit.

-Synchronised Bathtubbing,  arguably the funniest of our events, 2 people in a Bathtub- facing each other one must paddle backwards while the other paddles forwards.  The pair must negotiate the 100metre course in the quickest time, oh and if you sink, your wet and your out of the event.

- In between races, you will be able to try out Coracles and Kawheelie’s.
