Developed by Macpac for the extreme demands of multi day adventure racing, this sac also offers a a day adventurer a great multi activity day sac. The Amp Race 25 has all the functionality of the larger Amp Race 40. Its sleek lines and compact capacity suits the adventure racing professional or those competing in short course events or trail running.

The Sleek Helium Race harness delivers race comfort and stability and the Titan Grid fabric optimises weight, strength and weatherproofness. At your waist the padded hip belt has two generous food and necessity pockets, Mesh shoulder strap pocket for energy Gel flask (provided),  360 reflectivity for night visibility, Sternum strap has a whistle for emergency, for safety amongst team mates and team communication.

Nordic Walking is new to Llanwrtyd Wells.  Holiday makers have been flocking to Llanwrtyd Wells since the Georgian times to walk in the hills around this quaint little town.  Now you can come here and have Nordic walking Holiday Breaks.  Accommodation provided from one of the many hotels, guest houses and B&B’s in town.

Especially, for the World Alternative Games 2012 we have created a 21kms/13mile Nordic Walking Half Marathon.  This will be the 1st of an annual Nordic Walking Marathon Series which will lead on to other events around Wales specificallyfor the Nordic walker.

Our first Nordic walking event this year will be the World Alternative Games 2012 Half Marathon on the 25th Aug.  This will be followed by a half and full Nordic Walking Marathon in late Sept (Date to be confirmed) that will be set around Brecon.

On the 25th August at the World Alternative Games 2012 we will have 2 courses set for different levels of ability and fitness.

Our Half Marathon will be set on a gradually sloping hilly area behind town where you will follow forestry roads through tree lined valleys, panoramic hill top views and then return to town through the Irfon river valley with towering tree lined hillside above following the road and river back to the finish.  This route while it is hilly in places may be a challenge, if taken at your own pace is achievable and well worth the effort.

We will also have a shorter 11km circuit that will be set on quiet country roads with distant views of the Eppynt and Cambrian mountains while you enjoy your walk.  This route relative little climb prepared to the Half Marathon route and is nearly all tarmac walking, but the countryside and wide ranging views make up for this.

Another fun day out.  Why not come down to the Pontymoile Canal Bain and help the Mon and Brec Canal Trust celebrate 200 years of the Brecon to Monmouthshire Canal.  Its a fun day out with loads to do. Make sure you bring some dry clothes.

We will be there Bathtubbing, you can try out paddling our coracle or you can take out one of our Kawheelies.  As I said a neat fun  day out for all.

World Bathtubbing Championships, Llanwrtyd Wells, Cambrian Mountains.

We have now found a County to Support our Welsh Open Bathtubbing Championships.  Date s and venue are being confirmed in the next few weeks and an announcement will follow by the end of April.

We will be offering on the day single time trials, Multi Bathtub Racing  and Synchronised Bathtubbing.

All participants will receive medals and the top places receive trophies.

Wales will never be the same.  It will be better!!!!
