20 August 2016 sees the second Race the Train on Llyn Tegid at Bala, North Wales.
Last year’s first event has inspired other local groups to come along and Race the train. This year we have opened it up to any craft you paddle and small sailing boats/Dingy under 2.5ms. You can even race the train by swimming, mind its very cold and you’ll need to be prepared for this.
We are also looking into the possibility of making this a Triathlon event. So watch this space.
The 2016 Llyn Tegid Race the Train event is a part of the “World Alternative Games”. the First World Alternative Games was held in Llanwrtyd Wells in 2012 by the smallest Town in the UK. The Tiny welsh town hosting the Event at the same time as London Hosted the 2012 Olympics.
You can follow the lead up to the Green Dragon Activities “Race the Train” Event on our Face Book page.
To Enter the race please email Green Dragon Activities at firstname.lastname@example.org. We have some SUP’s you can hire for this event, and it is possible to arrange other hired craft for you or your group to use in the event.
