Meet Tony Bain – Founder & Adventure Guide
The heart of Green Dragon Activities is Tony Bain, an outdoor leader with over 20 years of experience.
Tony has lived in Wales for more than 15 years, drawn by its quiet wilderness and world-class waters. Originally from New Zealand, he grew up living on high country stations, exploring wilderness outback terrain’s, after moving to Britain he became a Scout leader, keen hill walker, mountain biker, and furthered his paddling.

Former fastest local bog snorkeller (just 20 seconds off the world record!)

Non-stop circumnavigation of Anglesey (2017) 123kms
- Coast to Coast New Zealand (2017) 241kms SUP/Bike/Run 1st person in the world allowed to compete in one of the Worlds toughest multi sport race on a SUP. Kathmandu Coast to Coast New Zealand

Yukon 1000 (2018) – 1,000 miles on the Yukon River in Canada, as one of the first six in the world to enter this ultimate endurance race

Amazon Challenge (2023) – 330km SUP expedition through Peru, visiting indigenous communities and wild camping along the Amazon’s upper reaches, introducing SUP to indigenous tribes as they journeyed down the river.
