Our Team Leader
Tony Has been living in Wales for around 10 years. He loves the quiet wilderness environment that abounds in Wales. As a SUP instructor Tony enjoys helping people to develop their personal SUP skills in lake, coastal and river environments around North Wales.
Tony having been a Scout leader for many years and is no stranger to the outdoors. Having grown up on high country stations in New Zealand he is also a keen hill walker and mountain biker when time permits.
As a young man Tony spent his weekends Sea Kayaking and Wave skiing in and around the many bays and inlets on the Banks Peninsula, near Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.
Today as a stand up paddle board instructor Tony enjoys teaching people how to stand up and paddle on water and in the English winters he returns to New Zealand to explore rivers, lakes and other waterways on his paddleboard.
In his leisure time he can be found on the Welsh rivers and lakes paddling his coracle, bathtub or stand up paddleboard.
In the past Tony has been the fastest local bog snorkeller (20 secs off the world record) and is the holder of the world bathtubbing record for 100ms in a time of 1min 26.41 secs.
While most people enjoy an afternoon at the lake on a paddleboard. Tony has pushed past the SUP limits exploring white water SUP and ultra distance SUP events. His, 18.5hr non stop overnight circumnavigation of the Isle of Anglesey, off the north coast of Wales and lately the completion of the Yukon 1000, a 1000 miles down the Yukon river in Canada his greatest achievements, a testament to his devotion to SUP .
